    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the Industrial Engineering department, coordinating its activities and allocating personnel, skills, and resources in accordance with business priorities, ensuring the timely and effective execution of industrialization projects for both existing and new product lines.

    • Manage, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary Industrial Engineering organization composed of engineers, technicians, administrative staff, and team leaders, promoting professional growth, accountability, and effective collaboration.

    • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous optimization of manufacturing and assembly processes, with the goal of increasing operational efficiency, ensuring product quality, reducing costs and waste, and complying with applicable safety and sustainability requirements.

    • Ensure the manufacturability of newly developed products by defining appropriate manufacturing and assembly solutions, including process risk assessments, qualification and validation activities, production ramp-up, and the implementation of the related production lines.

    • Oversee the development of technical specifications, as well as the selection, procurement, installation, commissioning, and setup of manufacturing and assembly equipment, including machinery, tooling, and measurement stations.

    • Ensure that industrial equipment and processes comply with the product requirements defined by R&D, the quality standards established by the Quality Department, and the operational constraints identified by Production.

    • Work closely with Production and Quality Management to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and waste reduction, and translate them into structured continuous-improvement initiatives, CAPAs, and dedicated projects.

    • Provide industrial engineering support for production-line transfers and relocation projects, ensuring that the activities assigned to the department are properly planned and executed.

    • Coordinate Toolshop activities related to production support, product development projects, and prototype manufacturing.

    • Manage the planning, execution, and monitoring of the CAPEX and OPEX budgets assigned to Industrial Engineering, in accordance with the company's approval and expenditure procedures.

    • Support the Finance department in evaluating investments and related financial matters, including risk, depreciation/amortization, and residual or scrap value, while working with the Purchasing department to identify suitable suppliers of machinery, equipment, and technical services.

    • Explore emerging manufacturing and assembly technologies and evaluate their potential application to existing and future production lines, while maintaining an effective professional network with internal stakeholders, suppliers, universities, and other external partners.

    • Coordinate process-related product nonconformities and engineering change requests in close cooperation with Quality and R&D.

    • Ensure that the department has the appropriate resources, technical capabilities, and competencies to meet the company's requirements in terms of quality, responsiveness, and speed of execution.

    • Develop the skills and capabilities of Industrial Engineering employees through coaching, guidance, empowerment, and structured professional development.

    • Maintain effective communication with the relevant local and Group Area Managers, ensuring continuous alignment between headquarters and the local Industrial Engineering organization, and supporting adherence to corporate culture, standards, and strategic direction.

    • Promote an open, transparent, and collaborative work environment based on empowerment, trust, psychological safety, competence, and operational excellence.

    • Encourage a positive approach to learning from mistakes, continuous improvement, and the constructive exchange of different viewpoints, while effectively addressing and managing conflicts.

    • Define, monitor, and report Industrial Engineering KPIs through the company's established reporting channels, including documentation, presentations, and local or international management meetings.

    • Serve as a driver of innovation and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities related to advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, and smart manufacturing solutions.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Master of Science in Industrial Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.

    • A solid technical background combined with hands-on experience in manufacturing and assembly technologies, industrial process design, process management and optimization, smart manufacturing, and project management.

    • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a technical function—preferably Product Development, Process Development, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering—gained within a structured industrial organization; experience in an international or multinational environment is strongly preferred.

    • Proven experience in directly managing, coaching, and developing technical teams.

    • Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and production lines.

    • Experience in manufacturing environments related to mechanics, mechatronics, robotics, or other technologies relevant to miniature electromechanical products is highly desirable.

    • Previous experience with projects involving the modernization, renovation, automation, or technological transformation of production processes will be considered an asset.

    • A solid understanding of industrialization, process qualification and validation, the implementation of manufacturing equipment, and production ramp-up.

    • Experience in continuous improvement, operational efficiency, waste reduction, and manufacturing cost optimization.

    • Experience with CAPEX/OPEX management and with the technical and financial evaluation of industrial investments.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a risk-based, results-oriented approach and the ability to combine creativity with pragmatism.

    • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, guide, and empower team members while ensuring that quality, timing, and departmental objectives are met.

    • The ability to remain balanced, resilient, and effective in demanding environments characterized by heavy workloads and shifting priorities.

    • A strong sense of ownership and a willingness to lead by example, fostering accountability, collaboration, proactive behavior, and continuous improvement.

    • Curiosity and a genuine interest in emerging industrial technologies, manufacturing methods, and process developments, along with the ability to translate innovation into practical improvements.

    • Agility and sound decision-making skills, including the ability to adapt to changing internal and external circumstances, manage shifting priorities, and implement decisions effectively.

    • A hands-on approach and a willingness to get directly involved in operational or technical activities whenever needed, providing practical guidance and support to the Industrial Engineering team.

    • Ability to operate effectively within a complex multinational organization and to collaborate across different functions and organizational levels.

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a clear, concise, and transparent communication style that can be adapted to different audiences and stakeholders.

    • Excellent command of English and Italian, both at a minimum B2 level; knowledge of German is a plus.
