Maintenance Technician

  • We are recruiting a Maintenance Technician for one of our major clients, a well-established company in the Lugano area.

    DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES

    • Plan and perform routine and non-routine maintenance on heating, ventilation, and HVAC systems.

    • Identify the causes of malfunctions, anomalies, and failures through diagnostic and technical analysis.

    • Define and implement the corrective actions necessary to restore the systems to proper operation.

    • Prepare technical and financial proposals for repair and maintenance work.

    • Assess the condition of the facilities and propose preventive maintenance programs designed to ensure their efficiency, safety, and operational continuity.

    • Prepare contract proposals for scheduled maintenance services.

    • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and colleagues to ensure timely, high-quality service.

    • Prepare the technical documentation related to the work performed.
       

    REQUIREMENTS

    • AFC, or equivalent qualification, as a Design Engineer in construction technology with a specialization in heating and/or ventilation.

    • Proven experience, preferably at least ten years, in the design and management of RCVS systems in Switzerland.

    • Extensive expertise in the field of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

    • Good knowledge of the electromechanical aspects related to the main components of the systems.

    • Analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to technically evaluate the most appropriate solutions.

    • Excellent knowledge of Italian; knowledge of German and/or English is an important requirement.

    • Ability to work independently, a sense of initiative, and a results-oriented approach.

    • Proficiency in the main computer tools, the Microsoft Office suite, and CAD software.

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.

    • Preference will be given to applicants who hold Swiss citizenship or a C permit.
