We are recruiting a Deputy Project Manager for one of our key clients, a well-established company in the Bellinzona area .

DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES

Assist the Project Manager in the supervision and operational management of major infrastructure projects, ensuring that the established objectives regarding quality, cost, and schedule are met.

Take responsibility for managing the project in the absence of the Project Manager, liaising with all parties involved and representing the project to stakeholders.

Ensure the effective implementation of the guidelines established by the Project Management Team, guaranteeing their proper application in the field.

Coordinate construction site activities, fostering effective collaboration among work crews, subcontractors, and specialized consultants.

Collaborate on the preparation, review, and monitoring of the work plan, ensuring compliance with the Program of Works and the defined milestones.

Continuously monitor the progress of the work, identify any issues, and propose solutions designed to minimize delays or impacts on the project.

Support financial oversight and budget management activities, helping to optimize available resources.

To promote high standards of health, safety, and environmental protection, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company procedures.

Promote multidisciplinary coordination among civil works, systems, and technical interfaces, ensuring integrated management of design activities.

Actively participate in decision-making processes and risk management, contributing to the overall success of the project.
REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.

At least 5–10 years of professional experience in managing or coordinating complex infrastructure projects, preferably in the railway sector and/or major infrastructure projects.

Experience gained in roles such as Deputy Project Manager, Construction Manager, or similar positions with significant operational responsibilities.

Previous work experience in Switzerland; familiarity with the Ticino region will be a significant advantage.

Solid experience in project planning, cost control, financial management, and contract administration.

Knowledge of SIA regulations and familiarity with the Swiss railway regulatory framework.

Proven experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing interactions between different technical disciplines.

Strong leadership, organizational, and prioritization skills.

A methodical and goal-oriented approach, with a particular focus on risk prevention and mitigation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Excellent knowledge of Italian.

Knowledge of English is preferred.
