We are recruiting aGeneral Contractor Technician for one of our key clients, a well-established company in the construction and engineering sector in the Lugano area.
 

The candidate will be responsible for supporting tender-related activities and preparing technical and financial proposals for general/turnkey projects. Additionally, they will assist project teams throughout the various stages of analyzing tender documentation and preparing proposals, working in structured and multidisciplinary environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In-depth analysis of tender documentation (terms and conditions, technical specifications, and administrative documents)
• Verification of eligibility requirements and compliance with tender specifications
• Identification of critical issues and opportunities during the tender participation phase
• Preparation of technical packages for suppliers and subcontractors in collaboration with the purchasing department
• Coordination with designers and consultants to define the technical proposal and develop improved alternatives
• Support in drafting technical tender documentation (reports, schedules, drawings)
• Collaboration in preparing financial bids, ensuring consistency with technical aspects
• Liaison with the administrative and legal departments for the preparation of corporate documentation
• Overseeing the final presentation of the bid (layout, charts, tables, organizational charts)
• Cross-functional technical support to the tender office with the possibility of operational involvement on-site in the event of contract awards

YOUR PROFESSIONAL PROFILE:

• Degree in Civil/Construction Engineering, Architecture, or related fields
• Approximately 10 years of experience in similar roles at construction companies, general contractors, or engineering firms
• Experience in key roles within general contracting firms and on construction sites
​​​​​​​• Excellent knowledge of Italian and French
• Excellent ability to analyze bid documents and technical specifications (knowledge of the CPN system is a plus)
• Good knowledge of the processes involved in preparing technical and financial bids
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of technical software (AutoCAD, Solibri, Dalux, Procore, or equivalents)
• Knowledge of calculation software compliant with Swiss standards (e.g., BauBit) is a plus
• Precision, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work toward goals and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate with various stakeholders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Results-oriented and strong problem-solving skills
