We are recruiting on behalf of one of our important clients, a well-established company in Mendrisiotto, for a Plastic Parts Designer/Engineer.

DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES

• Translation of stylistic concepts developed by the designer into three-dimensional models using Creo software

• Complete product development from a mechanical point of view, taking into account technical feasibility, assemblability, and integration of internal components

• Technical design of devices, optimizing geometries according to technical constraints (motors, electronic boards, resistors, etc.).

• Analysis and resolution of production-related issues, particularly with reference to plastic molding and assembly stages

• Managing technical relationships with mold suppliers and specialized subcontractors

• Production of technical drawings and detailed construction drawings for the production stage

• Production of technical exploded views for replacement documentation

• Packaging design: cases, boxes and palletizing configurations

• Constant collaboration with industrialization, quality and supply chain departments to ensure continuity between design and production
   

REQUIREMENTS

• Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or equivalent degree

• At least 5 years' experience in similar positions in the appliance, plastics, or related industries

• Excellent knowledge of Creo software, both for 3D modeling and drafting

• Familiarity with injection molding technologies and manufacturability-oriented design principles

• Aptitude for technical problem solving and ability to interface with external and internal stakeholders

• Accuracy, operational autonomy, attention to detail and aptitude for teamwork
