  • We select for an important client of ours, a solid company in the construction industry operating in Geneva, an HS Manager

    DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES

    • Developing and updating the site health and safety plan

    • Collaboration with the operations team to ensure integration of safety regulations into activity planning

    • Drafting of risk assessment and continuous monitoring of safety conditions

    • Inspection of HS documentation provided by all subcontractors to ensure compliance

    • Management of site permits in close synergy with administration

    • Communication with relevant agencies and authorities as necessary

    • Conducting mandatory safety inductions together with the HS Supervisor, with attendance recording

    • Organization and supervision of toolbox meetings on a weekly or as needed basis

    • Active promotion of safety culture among workers, including in multilingual settings

    • Frequent inspections to ascertain compliance with safety regulations

    • Identification of any non-conformities and proposal of immediate corrective measures

    • Verification of proper use of PPE and collective protections

    • Control of the most at-risk phases of the construction site

    • Continuous updating of the Emergency Plan and verification of the effectiveness of firefighting equipment

    • Management of incidents and near misses with detailed analysis and definition of corrective actions

    • Preparation of periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly) regarding HS performance

    • Active participation in client meetings and support during any external audits

    • Ensuring compliance with the client's international standards, including ISO and HS KPIs
       

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Solid and documented experience in the construction industry

    • Proven skills in leadership and team coordination

    • Mastery of English and French languages

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

    • Skill in conducting training courses to improve safety knowledge and behaviors

    • Operational background in safety management: HS program development, fire prevention, hazardous substance management, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, incident analysis, implementation of safe operating procedures

    • Ability to meet tight deadlines and complete goals in a professional and timely manner
